located in brussels, belgium is 'nemo 33', a diving center accommodating the world's deepest swimming pool.
the pool, filled with 2,500,000 litres of non-chlorinated, highly filtered spring water, has two large flat-bottomed areas reaching
depth levels of 5m (16 ft) and 10m (32 ft), and a large circular pit plunging to a distance of 33m (108 ft).
the water is kept at a temperature of 30°C (86°F) and features numerous simulated underwater caves at the 10m mark,
as well as various submerged windows that encourage outside visitors to look into the structure at different depths.
the facility was designed by belgian expert diver john beernaerts, an idea that was spurred by beernaerts' desire to mimic the conditions of
bora bora in his home country, achieving this through three years of study and testing 21versions. the outcome was a
multi-purpose diving instruction, recreational, and film production complex.

a video demonstrating diving in the deepest pool in the world
It is a diving pool isn’t it?
I wonder if you suddenly “drop” while descending through another diver’s bubbles from below…
Very nice …
The sound from that video makes me want to puke
Worst pool to drop your phone…
What if you drop your rolex and contact lens in this pool? Can you swim laps? Can you play water polo
I have had dreams about this pool, yet I have never seen it in my life.
Pretty sure they all peed in it.
The diver who made the film is a total rookie, breathing like an elephant to compensate the lack of good buoyancy…
some film makers out there would love this
gosh that’s soooooooo deep
It’s crazy to think that most watches are waterproof to 30 meters…and this is 33 meters. The video gives it more perspective to how deep you can go with your watch.
Been there, done that!
wow how pointless! yeah it looks pretty cool but is there a use for this? go deep sea diving if you crave that depth and pressure, there is nothing interesting to see in a pool!
