‘armure’, designed by odo fioravanti for maison 203, incorporates the organic form of flowers or fruit to create an unconventional crossover between geometric and natural shapes. the conceptual basis for the clutch references the spherical pinecones of a cypress tree, evidenced in their rounded, 3D printed shapes separated by thin gaps; reminding viewers of the individual plates that comprise them. constructed from sintered nylon which conceals a magnetic clasp, the work achieves strong clean lines. ‘armure’ is being presented at maison et objet 2015.
