'ori' light series by producks design studio
conceived as an offspring of the collaboration between israeli producks design studio and textile designer mika barr,
the ‘ori light series’ implements a special print that gives the form an inner structure making it fold according
to the printed pattern. previously seen in producks' printed texile patterns, a volume of light is created as a
new typology, where the geometric cloud-like shapes can manufactured identically. however, ‘ori’ makes the
user part of the process, giving them the opportunity to interfere in the final design and give it a unique shape -
changing time and time again.
whether the fixture is turned on or off, the grooves illuminate an ambient reflection, adhering a variety of
different tones and shades through the void spaces in the fabric. consisting of a pendant lamp, a floor lamp
and a table lamp, the pieces are made from a closed pillow-like shape, when you need to replace the light bulb
you just open the hidden zipper.
