‘pedestrian wooden bridge’ by reece terris

canadian artist reece terris has developed a pedestrian wooden bridge that links two residential homes together. the temporary sculptural intervention spans thirty-seven-feet across and reaching four stories in height. the conception was realized by implementing  an engineering technique based on 12th century chinese paintings and unfinished wooden two-by-fours. the project provides a birds eye view of the surrounding urban neighbourhood below, where it demonstrates social and civic economic structures that dictate our involvement in public space.
