the creative minds of peleg design have made a name for themselves by providing playful approaches towards everyday items. from a foosball-playing pencil eraser to an eggyolk-gulping fish, each product is its own exploration of proportional relationships and formal associations. following this trend, the studio has developed ‘lightmark’ which is available for purchase in the designboom shop, courtesy of SOHO design shop.

with a concept that intends to ‘shed light on your last read page!’, the product reduces the industrial appearance of a lamp down to a simple bookmark. as the metaphorical ray reaches down through the diffuser, it can be placed between pages to indicate where a person is within the text. the base is then placed above the sheets, between the covers and binding, for easy access.
