polish creative studio poorex has taken the classic photography device used to mount cameras and flash units, and applied it to a series of constructs for the ‘tripod furniture collection’. ‘the idea underlying this design was to create objects that do not take much space when folded. the main module may be an inspiration to seek further solutions and functions,’ said founder bartosz mucha. following this ethos, the set of beach wood furnishings includes: a lamp, clock, mirror, two types of tables, and a toy. these everyday items are supported by a 45-cm-high stand which opens to form a 30 cm width. by supplying the ability to contract and expand, slight modifications can be made in relation to the angle of the surfaces and their overall height to adjust to the needs of any user. all elements that stabilized the joints are made in the fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology and 3D printing.
