‘wall to wall’ installation
established & sons limited are currently presenting ‘wall to wall’, an installation created for the company by shay alkalay and yael mer of raw edges design studio.
‘wall to wall’ has been made with oiled oak herringbone parquet brick flooring. alkalay & mer have developed the traditional finish by staining the individual bricks from a pallet of 15 different colours. by taking an everyday product and twisting the core element, they have developed a very characteristic mosaic design.
the installation is on display at established and sons limited, london until the 24th november, 2009 as part of the frieze art fair.
