REC watches wanted to pay a tribute to mustang, the american icon. to do so, they decided to recycle old 1960’s pieces of the cars and to create an automatic all mechanical watch unlike any other. they were very keenly aware that with this was a duty — even a responsibility – to produce something that could match the timeless, sporty, elegant and signature design of the mustang which is the very symbol of american muscle cars.

the P-51 collection comes in three variations; each variation has its own distinct expression  of color and materials

the first step was to forge a team of specialists in both design and production. the challenge they faced was not only to create a beautiful mechanical watch that would last a lifetime, but at the same time stay true to their concept and their own aesthetic ideals. the ‘P-51’ timepieces are therefore not only inspired by the design of the classic mustang, but also incorporate metal from these salvaged cars in the very product while ensuring that every single piece will be visually unique. the ‘P-51’ collection comes in three variations, each with its own distinct expression in terms of color and materials used.
