'red jay' is an outcome of the 'herman' concept conceived by new york-based practices dan golden studio and design compendium.
the chair highlights the 'herman' design objective - to develop a contemporary furniture and accessories collection that resonates with a new generation.
the design takes cues from the eames' iconic molded plastic chair - a clean, simple form that cradles the body and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.
however, the 'red jay' has subtly morphed the original to accommodate modern day 'tool' such as keys, iPad, or phone - revisiting classic design
through modern vernacular.
