residents and holiday-goers in bournemouth beach in england woke up to an usual and slightly unnerving sight emerging from the choppy seas: a bearded, eight meter tall sea creature that looked like richard branson, founder of virgin group. the towering monster-man hybrid called ‘bigkahuna’ can be seen soaring above the shore, holding in hand a smartphone, broadband and TV — much like the entrepreneur himself.

a team of sculptors took more than 500 hours to conceive and produce the water-beast, which weighs over six tons. the stunt has been devised by london-based the academy and built by helix3d to promote the ‘big kahuna’ package available through virgin media  which adds mobile to its TV/phone/broadband bundle.
