'rocky' by marc newson for magis
australian-born designer marc newson has made a rocking horse for magis. 'rocky' is a modern take on a traditional object,
a pop version taking its character loosely from medieval jousting horses. a historic childhood icon, the rocking horse is in
newson's interpretation dressed up as a cowboy.
the parallelogram motion mimics the movement of the traditional toy.
rocky is made in recycled polyethylene through
rotational moulding - a production process, ideal for hollow items.
