london based shoe designer nicholas kirkwood has created a series of illuminated high heel shoes for
rodarte’s fall/winter collection 2010/2011. the series of light up heels was just launched at new york
fashion week. the shoes have a tall heel that has the appearance of dripping wax, however within the
heel, small led lights glow through. the front section of the shoes is quite ornate mixing and matching
styles and materials to create a collage like effect. while glowing tech-embedded shoes have been seen
in main stream sneakers, this is one of their first appearances in an haute couture brand.
