knindustrie, a new company that will be launched for the first time at MACEF 2011,
has collaborated with milanese architect rodolfo dordoni to produce ‘foodwear’,
one line in their debut collection of kitchen equipment.

the family of pots, pans, bowls and plates have been designed and manufactured to be
used both in the preparation and presentation of food. this dual function greatly reduces
the storage requirements traditionally associated with cooking accessories.

the streamlined aesthetic is complemented through the use of stainless steel.
the polished interior cavity juxtaposes the exterior’s bronze finish which will transform
and patina over time. the lids, available in either a bronze glass or polished steel finish,
feature an enlarged ring-like handle, made from black finished steel. when turned upside
down, the unique detail acts as a riser that transforms the lid into a presentation stand
for cakes, quiches or other light foods.

extending the usability and functionality of the line are cork surrounds that insulate
the pots, keeping the food warm, while at the same time protecting various surfaces
– such as the table or counter – from damage.
