ronan + erwan bouroullec: corniches for vitra

on the occasion of milan design week 2012, swiss furniture manufacturer vitra presents ‘corniches’, a new shelving / storage system by french designers ronan and erwan bouroullec. on view at the salone del mobile, the product is meant to illustrate and respond to the notion of needing to create small impromptu storage spaces to keep items. the glossy pedestals can be seen as individual protrusions, organized freely within the interior environment and used individually or installed as a larger grouping. the pieces come in three sizes and a variety of colors including black, white and red.
