if you think about the common table clock and its function, people usually only consider the front side of this object, where the dial is located. contrasting this mindset, andrea bellotto has created ‘plumber’ for BOZU italian workshop design, where has focused his attention on the whole device, especially the back.

as a result, when it is seen on a table it becomes a piece of furniture or decoration. the simplicity of industrial elements attracted the designer to take note of the curved and symmetric geometry of a water pipe connector. ‘sometimes we don’t realize that simple objects present in our daily lives are hiding amazing shapes,’ says bellotto.

reflective ceramic was selected as the main material to highlight this particular form and increase the overall aesthetic impact. meanwhile, the interior cavity houses a seiko movement, which ensures high quality and accuracy in time measurement. the handmade clock is available in four colors: porcelain white, blueberry blue, green hornet, and pitch black.
