rosenthal presents TAC city skyline tableware by BIG + KILO

porcelain manufacturer rosenthal presents ‘TAC big cities’ tableware designed by BIG architects and KILO (lars larsen). having established a portfolio composed of geometric structures with strong references to the bauhaus, walter gropius and his boston-based firm – the architects collaborative (TAC) – served as visual references for the serving pieces.  graphics that emerge from the marriage of TAC’s classic style, depict the silhouette of various world city skylines such as berlin, copenhagen, london, new york and paris, outlined in heritage blue on a surface of white porcelain.

in this collaboration, the wide span of a city skyline is displayed on the intimate scale of product design. the characteristics of each metropolis’ silhouette are elaborated in the form of famous architectural landmarks including the big ben, brandenburg gate or the eiffel tower, bringing observation and conversation to the table.rosenthal TAC dinnerware designboom
