the pot and the cup

‘back to work’ is a coffee set for the office. the coffee cups you find in workstations are mostly conventional breakfast cups as used at home. the intention seems to be to create a second ‘home sweet home’ at the workplace, yet drinking coffee at work isn’t considered a pleasure but rather a necessity. the archaic shape of the drainpipes is referring to the reality of the craftsmen working environment. therefore the specific design of ‘back to work’ is constituting a conscious experience of working ( -breaks ) and the pleasure to share it with coffee. handcrafted prototype, porcelain
