doctor who’ enthusiast and crafts maker emma young has turned the infamous ‘cybermen’ character from the famed british TV series into an outdoor nut feeder. the cyborg’s head — previously a shower radio with its inner workings removed — has been packed with sticky peanuts and suspended from the branch of a tree in her hampshire, UK home garden. the one-off, sci-fi feeder acts as a mask for wandering forest creatures, who unknowingly ‘wear’ the robotic head on their furry bodies as they snack away at the food inside. ‘my whole family are doctor who fans’ she tells photographer chris balcombe, ‘so I decided to have a go at creating this special sci-fi feeder.watch the video of a squirrel caught mid-snack and the comical episode that ensues.
