'simpledoubledeux' bed by daniel jauslin i.d.design review at: sheila c. johnson design centre, nyc from: july 10th to september 28th, 2008

architect daniel jauslin designed the ‘simpledoubledeux’ bed with space in mind. the bed is made from molded plywood and consists of two interlocking platforms, so it can be used as a single or double bed. it is also light in weight, so it can be moved by one person. the bed was originally designed as a prototype for a house drexler guinand jauslin architects worked on in switzerland. after some media coverage and public interest they decided to put into production. the ‘simpledoubledeux’ bed won the top i.d magazine’s furniture award.
