milan-based design consultancy skrivo has collaborated with the italian brand miniforms to design the ‘slope collection, a series of pendant lamps influenced by the forms of mountains. by combining two distinctly different materials (metal and wood) and carving into the cones in order to reveal the inner grains of the beech, the result creates three dimensional volumes that provide multiple profiles depending on the viewing angle. additionally, thanks to the force of gravity the metal cone shaped lamp shades simply sits on the wooden pendants to allow for easier assembly and shipping.
