for their new fort lauderdale, florida headquarters, valley forge fabrics has selected architecture and design firm stantec in miami to design an approx 70,000 sq.m. warehouse space with a creative and healthy working environment for its employees. valley forge is a family-owned company and leader in hospitality upholstery fabrics — providing interior designers worldwide with a large selection of colorful fabrics for hotel clients.

for the valley forge fabrics project, stantec uses a neutral base palette so that the ‘fabric’, being the company’s product, becomes the main feature and delivers a sense of place. the grays and whites are then offset with pops of fuchsia, red, orange, purple and peacock colors throughout office and co-working spaces. indeed, bold and continuous colored striped are used to visually break the large co-working area — starting on the wall and carrying across the floor, carpet and any element that lies in the path.

another key design feature is the use of  ‘fabric tubes’ in the reception area and conference room — introducing striking patterns and a contrast of textures. the playful quality of ‘fabric tubes’ is also met with the recreational zones includinng a slide, indoor soccer court with interface green carpet, yoga room, gym, locker rooms and quiet zone on the second floor mezzanine.
