‘tropez’ – the new seating system by german designer stefan diez is on show at valencia design week 2011.
more units will be added to this indoor / outdoor collection for spanish furniture company gandia blasco.
the design has not yet been finalized, but designboom had a sneak peek of the project in its prototype phase.

gandia blasco is well known for its outdoor furniture collections. now back to the roots the company’s history of rug
and blanket production, they have introduced the new brand GAN. the 2012 collection of GAN is being presented during
valencia design week 2011. part of this new rug collection is the hand tufted ‘kenia’ rug by young spanish design studio
odosdesign (luis calabuig, maría mengual and ana segovia). it is made of 100% new wool with cotton backsizing.
the pattern derives from the shape of the necklaces of masai women from kenia and colors from the african savannah land.
