the ‘supernpormal’ show at the milan triennale is a long- overdue celebration of normality in design. after tokyo and london the exhibition arrived in milan.naoto fukasawa and jasper morrison decided to assemble a collection of products, which ‘really make a difference to our lives but are often the least noticeable ones, those that don’t try to grab our attention’. the two designers announce that central to everything they do is to question whether they can justify creating something new in an environmental crisis when our lives are already filled with too much stuff. the same question underlies their selection of the objects for the exhibition.
