sunglasses are a consistent staple in countless peoples’ wardrobes. though, great as they are, sunglasses cover the most intimate part of the face — the eyes. while it’s impossible to entirely rid glasses of this problem — short of taking out the lenses, which won’t do much good anyways — it can be minimized. hungarian designer tamás túri created the ‘2577 sunglasses’ to not only protect the wearer, but to preserve their personality as well.

3D printed components give the frames a burst of color

the frames are unconventional, with a thin profile that simultaneously blends in and stands out from the face. ‘2577’ has a 3D printed, ABS plastic front, with stainless steel temples and silicone tube hinges. their modern aesthetic invokes a feeling of extravagance, but not enough to make them unsuitable for everyday wear. thanks to their hybrid shape that’s not quite square, but not round either, the ‘2577s’ can be worn with most facial shapes. túri got the name from the front pieces’ pantone color chart characteristic
