placed upon the ridge namsan on a mountain in seoul, korea, ‘pictorial montage’ is a bus shelter by south korean practice the ground studio. located at an intersection of the natural and built environments, the structure uses transparency as a way to frame and connect with the landscape. conceived as an art canvas, the construction is composed with three design elements, each formed with diverse materials.

addressing different functions which occur within close proximity, a concrete gate is dedicated to the circulation and flow passengers, while an adjacent wooden bench is for waiting and resting individuals encased within a steel frame to overlook the adjacent trees and hill.
