from 1964 – 1966, gerry and sylvia anderson’s thunderbirds aired in the UK and across the world, broadcasting the puppeteer-adventures of the epic action force: international rescue (IR). thirty years later, in 1994, an automatic, toyota previa 2438CC petrol was built and in 2019 that toyota has became the arteries for this completely street legal, conversion camper van — fit with sleeping quarters, DVD player, and gull wings.

until now, mr. virgil tracy — second son of ex-astronaut jeff tracy — piloted thunderbird 2. below you can see his frame by frame remastered launch sequence. note the elegance at which virgil slides down into the cockpit — the stoic puppet’s gaze as he chooses which modular cargo load to carry. these decisive action sequences are memorable to all who watched them and — while this homage doesn’t have any modular transports to carry off — there are some nifty specs here nonetheless: 8 front windows, 2 circular ports, 2 gull wings with gas struts and pull handles, a color-matched interior, thunderbirds-themed bed, a DVD system (roof mounted), rear view camera, the heart and soul of a ’94 toyota, headlights, brakelights, and everything else a vehicle needs to keep the city off your back — just one in the world for sale, all for £34,995.
