tube chair

 

dutch designer tjeerd veenhoven presented new worksat the milan furniture fair 2003.

 

the tube chair is a flexible plastic tube is filled with a strands of carbon drained in resin. the tube is bend in shape and left to set. this results in a very strong frame that seems impossible from a steel benders point of view.

foamtyles

 

to make these ‘foamtyles,’ foam is molten and compressed, giving it a very hard top layer. the lightweight panels can be reinforced and decorated by melting textile into the dark blue layer. the tiles can beused on any surface as insulation and decoration.
