TOILETPAPER with gufram + seletti install inflatable golden eiffel tower at galeries lafayette in paris

TOILETPAPER magazine has installed an inflatable golden eiffel tower with two giant eggs suspended beneath the dome of galeries lafayette in paris. the decadent display celebrates the collaboration between gufram + seletti and the alternative bi-annual publication, who have worked together to produce a range of unconventional and ironic homeware and furniture. 

TOILETPAPER produced a number of images which are displayed along the boulevard haussmann

the ‘seletti wears TOILETPAPER‘ series features a number of items including porcelain plates and rugs decorated with with irreverent pop images, created and selected by maurizio cattelan & pierpaolo ferrari. the magazine translated this style into furniture products, collaborating with gufram to reinterpret conventional appliances into radical alternative pieces.

TOILETPAPER also created eleven images which are exhibited within a window display along the boulevard haussmann outside of the galeries lafayette. the images feature peculiar scenarios and references including the eiffel tower, an exotic paradise, a meat store and lines of sausages covering the floor of the space.

cattelan and ferrari explain ‘we imagined our presence at galerie des galeries as platforms of experience where, depending on their needs, people can interface and participate by buying objects to the aesthetic code of the TOILETPAPER world.’

the magazine has translated their unconventional style into furniture pieces 

the collection consists of tin tableware, porcelain plates, along with umbrellas, mirrors, and coffee tables
