torafu architects have added another retail space for aesop to their portfolio following builds in shibuya, kawaramachi, tokyo and yokahama. the realization of the grand front osaka mall location for the australian skincare brand has seen the japanese firm transform an intimate 3.9 meter high and 7 meter square plane area with soft pink walls and bespoke japanese cedar consultation and point-of-sale counters; the squared logs of varying lengths punctuating aptly placed sinks, bringing a sense of rhythm to the interior. contrasting the warmth of the wood fixtures is the installation of black steel shelving that visual frames the stores, acting as a bridge between the built-in storage components and columns, making the line-ups of aesop products stand out.
