after realizing the building of milbank’s sao paolo headquarters, the international law firm commissioned triptyque to carry out the interior design. in response, the studio has created a walk through 95 years in the history of brazilian design between objects, their creators, and their zeitgeist. the work is a reinterpretation of the traditional organization of an workplace. the rooms are thus, furnished with objects by architectural and artistic icons: the conference table is signed by oscar niemeyer, the chairs in the reception are made by paulo mendes da rocha, and the lawyers’ offices feature decor autographed by sergio rodrigues. accompanying this procession is a series of transparent spaces that change according to the opening of sliding wood and glass doors that replace concrete walls.

just like country, the coherence of the collection lies in its diversity: brazilian manufacturing is affected by the development of materials, the simplicity of the shapes and sometimes, the rudimentary use of technology. there is plurality also in the origins of this production: the portuguese reference and african intervention create a contemporary process now belonging to popular taste. the project is an inventory of straight lines, curves and improvisation, that compile a timeline of brazilian artistic expression.
