‘unbalance’ by alessandro zambelli for secondome design gallery achieves a rhythmic swinging action when acted upon. the piece looks to the alexander calder’s iconic kinetic mobiles for its form while departing from his style by incorporating a candle stick which illuminates the surrounding space. the candlestick burns, decreasing in weight, the counter balance moves the candle to a higher elevations. the limited edition series achieves a minimalist and expressive character via burnished iron and colored borosilicate glass.
