vasily klyukin has conceived six completely unique yacht concepts for the bold and adventurous luxury traveler. instantly recognizable, the boats take aesthetic influence from a range of visual sources like massive metropolises, animals and artists, all conceived to be striking, one-of-a-kind super-cruisers. industrial details made from metal and glass, vibrant primary colors and a brilliant expanse of lights define the motifs and themes of vehicle, decorated and fashioned to stand out at sea. take a look at the full series below, accompanied by klyukin’s words about each project’s concept and interpretation.

‘my concept ‘mondrian’ is 65 meters long and has 4 decks. the simple shapes and colors are actually very difficult to combine beautifully. however, this concept shows how — without changing the classical shape of the yacht — you can make your boat quite different from the others, with only the help of angles and colors.’

‘when I was doing my first book, I became convinced that manhattan is the most beautiful city of skyscrapers in the world. even if i’m not destined to build my tower there, I would build the manhattan itself. the yacht will be 80 meters long and will have 4 decks, and it will resemble the handsome city on the water side.’

‘the ‘white swan’ (63 meters, 3 decks + the sun-deck) is the most graceful of the water fowls. to create its outline, I built a light and transparent structure (the neck), which leads to a small breakfast area. after leaving the port, the hydraulic props would be lowered and the neck, together with the head, would be pressed to the carcass. the second, small, captain bridge is located at the base of the neck, so that the yacht could always enter the ports with the head held high.’

‘the memories of reading mark twain, of the american movies, and of the great comedy ‘maverick’ is how 4-deck and 78-meter ‘mississippi’ concept was born. it doesn’t matter how big and beautiful the other yacht in a port is, the first thing your eyes would catch is the wheel of ‘mississippi’, made of glass and metal.’

‘I’m a businessman, and the expression ‘business shark’ is pretty familiar to me. this is probably that is why ‘red shark’ became the first concept. athletic, aggressive and bright…as a successful business! this project is the first and my favorite. it is 75 meters long and has 4 decks.’
