verrückt, the world’s tallest waterslide at schlitterbahn water park in kansas city, kansas, has officially opened. the slide, which translates to ‘insane’ in german, requires thrill-seekers to climb 264 stairs up to a platform standing at 168 feet, which measures 94 inches taller than the statue of liberty. before plummeting down at speeds of up to 65 miles-per-hour, visitors need to weigh themselves to ensure the combined weight of the two or three passengers on-board does not exceed 550 pounds.
