japanese design studio YOY has unveiled its latest installation WIND, a window frame that creates its own breeze by generating wind through its pane. the installation is part of the exhibiton ‘art and design, dialogue with materials‘ held in toyama prefectural museum of art and design.

the beautifully minimal fan is programmed to reproduce the organic stir of the wind and has been created to be installed in a window-less space. YOY studio installed using 8 small fans, the window emits a gentle breeze by pushing air through the slits on each side of the frame.
