with more than 15 years of collaboration efforts between swedish design studio claesson koivisto rune and OFFECCT, ‘XTRA large’ results in a hybrid between a meeting table and a writing desk for an efficient working environment. the surface provides a space large enough to work undisturbed on one’s laptop, but is still close in range to spark up a conversation with a neighbor. ‘office spaces and the way we work within them are radically changing and so are the demands on furniture and interior for meeting places,’ explains CKR.

‘we have maximized a regular table with all the functions demanded in a modern office today; you could say that this table is the equivalent of a hercules airplane,’ says eero koivisto. the ‘XTRA large’ modular furniture system was designed to meet many different demands within a collaborative working space; it offers a big, clean surface and can be easily extended by exponentially adding more units. to keep the area organized, cords can be kept under the table, as each table features a power grid with ports to plug in and charge up your devices.
