to be presented at stockholm furniture fair are two designs by japanese designer yoshiyuki hibino + beets inc. - the 'pendant lights' and 'chair'.
the collection follows a theme that 'seeks news balance' - in material, form and the process of making. the 'pendant lamp' is characterized by
an elastic shade that is rolled-up to realize three different variations of the design. by using uncoated metal - a material that changes over time -
the pendant lights infuse a harmony of form and material. fabricated from white ash with a beeswax finish, the 'chair' is informed by the image of a 'goldcrest' -
a small bird with a charming appearance. through constant refining of the design, the work gradually resulted in a highly acute, minimalistic form.
the chair embodies an eclectic personality through dignity and simplicity.
