italian designers at zpstudio tools have collaborated with local craftsmen in tuscany to create a series of three handmade objects. presented during milan design week 2014, the pieces tell a narrative of manufacturing skills and small scale products made in italy. employing these artisan techniques, the designs use traditional wood or metal turning with semi-finished materials, derived from industrial production methods. balanced with new technological innovations, direct control over details is achieved to create finished items that retain a sense of authenticity.
