aspects of design practice - summer course $ 59

be environmentally responsible, promote sustainability,
explore design that is helping the planet stay green.
ecology is a broad discipline.
the greek 'oikos' means 'the home', the place where
we live. the first principle is that each living organism
has an ongoing and continual relationship with every
other element that makes up its environment.
the loss of adaptive capacity is when the resilience
of an environment, a species or population evolves
in an unfavorable way to cope with perturbations that
interfere. today people romanticize and
activists' causes are often marked by massive
internal contradiction.
over three-quarters of all adult consumers say
that they pay attention to a company's environmental
reputation before buying its products and services.
two-thirds say they recycle their waste.
we all collaborate to make our air and
water cleaner... this course intends to provide
an alternative to the mystification which contributes
to a general counter-enlightenment.
