placing together design elements linked to animistic nomad culture with
more common floral ornaments of Islam has led to the creation of truly
remarkable pieces, made even more valuable by the sophisticated techniques
used in working the silk; such techniques were learnt as a result of thousands
of years frequenting the major trade routes that transported this precious yarn.
