christopher farr


during the 100% design show christopher farr presented 'cloth', the company's first ever collection
of furnishing fabrics. a party was held to celebrate new work by precious mcbane, michael sodeau
and michael young, featuring verner panton's 'square rug' .in addition to this there there was the opening
of an exhibition at the riba architecture gallery of rugs and flatweaves designed by gunta stoelzl (1897-1983).

during 100% design, harrods contemporary gallery hosted an exhibition "project bigsnake" by asplund.
designers james irvine, marc newson, jasper morrison, ulus telmen, peter hallen and stefano giavannoni.
also on show were products from kundalini and aqua.

drinks, food and music together with an installation by the young finnish furniture design company snowcrash.

v&a museum


the victoria and albert museum showed its raising awareness of the v & a's role in promoting
contemporary design and presenting information on recent, current and future activities.
the products of the 100% design/blueprint contest were displayed in the foyer and
the v&a invited the public to vote for their favourites to test their judgement against that
of the experts. a party to celebrate the 100% design was held in between the showcases of
the museum collection.
