designboom and 100% design international design competition 100% FOLDING CHAIRS - PROTOTYPES WANTED results ! title: prop chair # 112 name : kent gration gender : male age : 28 city : windsor state : australia --- Triangular prop chair is manufactured using 3 legs with a triangular base/seat plate, like a tripod. The idea behind the chair is to create something which can be stored flat or on a wall mounted system (in the shape of a propeller) and then folded into its required form, this being a multi-purpose seat. Each leg is square toothed joined, but is able to move around an axle (which is locked into place at 90º by a shifter lock mechanism, keeping the legs locked preventing any movement once assembled). One edge of the square tooth join is curved to allow for 90º of movement into its fixed position. A drill hole is placed in the centre to provided for storage use, which is a wall mounted or floor mounted hollow aluminium/steel pole.
