Today, 95% of U.S. old-growth trees have been logged. (www.wildforests.org)
In the past decade, 48% of U.S. hardwood was made into shipping pallets-half of
which were used once and thrown away. (www.wildrockies.org)
This design converts a palette into a lawn chair with a back that can be propped up
at whatever angle you like. And it folds back down to stack, store or use for your next move.
With a saw, a little hardware, and a drive through the warehouse district,
anyone can create their own folding chair, sit back, and be reassured that
those woods will be there for a hike some other day.
