macef design award 2004 : results title: BKG # : 1533 carla scorda + gabriele rigamonti + vittorio turla from italy ---  designer's comment: The focus of this project is the weight of the water, intended ironically. We won't put a two litres water bottle on the table anymore: we will put 2 kg of water! Water bottle, produced using the standard technology for PET bottles. The bottle has twelve ribs on its surface to strengthen the structure. When the bottle is posed vertically, it stands on the bottom part of the ribs; when it is posed orizontally the ribs hold the bottle from rolling away. On the bottle surface we find the indication of the weight: 1 kg; 1,5 kg; 2 kg. You can use the bottle to make your daily fitness exercises; once you drunk the whole water, you can fill the bottle again with common water. You use the weight of the water. The bottle has an ergonomic shape to be easily handled when you make your exercises; the weight is equally distributed on both sides of your hand. 1 kg bottle: height 290 mm; diameter 95 mm; grip diameter 45 mm 1,5 kg bottle: height 325 mm; diameter 115 mm; grip diameter 50 mm 2 kg bottle: height 345 mm; diameter 120 mm; grip diameter 55 mm --- H2O - back to the index page - ---  ------- monthly designboom newsletter ------- ------- ? comments and contact us ? -------
