designer's comment:
Design can be conceded as a transmitter of identity and ‘memory’.
Craftsmanship is an alcove of individual experiences, stimulating a different kind of innovation.
This jug is designed to ornament the table and enhance the eye when serving water, and was
inspired on an ancient object. The materials chosen for this jug are white ceramic and a leather handle.
These are two typical Portuguese materials. When looking back on our ancestors I discovered
a Portuguese container that was used to serve water: the ‘moringa’ which is a kind of earthenware
pitcher with two necks. I believe the future is more susceptible of being insignificant if
we erase and forget about our human creations.
