macef design award 2004 : results title: PILO # : 1236 simone facchinetti from italy ---  designer's comment: 'Pilo' is a kind of water container completely made by sponge. Lacking in the empty cavity, 'Pilo' exploits the absorbent capacity of the porous material: in this way it can contain the liquid without showing it in its mass. The perception of the contents derives from the slight change in the colour tonality, from the new texture of the object and from the fact that, when it is filled, 'Pilo' get wet. Due to this particular nature, 'Pilo' looks like an animal.
