designer's comment:
There is an emotional aspect to ceramics, which is harder to define than
its physical properties &Mac246; hardness, chemical inertness or high temperature
resistance.

This is a mug that speaks more about warming yourself up than about
drinking. Often you go for a tea or a coffee not because you are thirsty,
but because you are cold. The mug transforms itself due to this new
requirement ( to control the heat ), finding a new typology. You can feel
the heat of your drink through the bottom of the mug, so it becomes a hand
warmer more than just a container.

The terracota is slip-cast using a two-part plaster mold with a mobile
insert to create the double-walled production. The bottom piece that closes
the mug is added at the end of the process from another mold.
