macef design award 2004 : results title: PLUNGE # : 459 pete matthews from the netherlands ---  designer's comment: I) A tapered glass carafe with a deep vertical spout. II) A light, thin wall thickness polycarbonate jug. This is loosely toleranced and can easily nest within the carafe. III) The carafe is filled with water to just below the spout. The jug, is then placed in the carafe. The jug buoyantly sits on the surface of the water. When 'plunged' water rises up the collar/neck of the carafe and spills from the spout.
