macef design award 2004 : results title: ROLL-UP VASE # : 2160 lluïsa morató rubio from spain ---  designer's comment: This project consist in a rubber membrane stressed by a spring that rolls up the vase. When water is poured, the weight makes the container rolls down. As you empty the bowl the membrane rolls up and remains tight newly. The device that allows rolling up the vase is hiding in the inner part of the subjection ring enchased under pressure. This mechanism consists of some torsion springs that are attached to the membrane.
