macef design award 2004 : results title: ADAM + EVE # : 2253 nathalie schaap from the netherlands ---  designer's comment: Adam & Eve is a vase made of two complete and complementing entities, created from the same raw material – ceramics. When put together, the two parts form an iconic vase with the traditional role of holding flowers. When separate, they gain an additional function as book ends. The water within the two halves serve two functions: nurturing the flowers and supplying the weight that keeps the books upright.
