'WC water concept' salone dell’arredo bagno international on-line design competition

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- C A L L - F O R - E N T R I E S designboom and ' WC water concept' salone dell’arredo bagno international on-line design competition (participation is open to applicants from every country in the world, to both professionals and students, free registration required.) --- 01 - the subject of the competition is 'inside the bathroom' three themes for a new water concept: participants are requested to develop one of these three concepts: a - whirlpool or multifunction-shower b - faucets c - complete bathroom furnishing series ( toilet, bidet, sink...) --- winning entries and a selection of the works sent in will be on show during the next ' WC water concept' salone dell'arredo bagno / bath furnishing salon - fiera milano international in milan, italy, march 2 - 6, 2004. --- 02 - awards the designers of the 4 winning entries will be granted with cash prize awards : - first prize Euro 5000 + air fare and accomodation paid - the jury will also award 3 honorable mentions (Euro 1000 each) the most interesting designs will be presented to companies in the sector for possible production. designboom will publish an exhaustive results report. --- 03 – the jury is composed of - elio fiorucci, fashion designer - oliviero toscani, photographer, artist - carlo bassi, marketing director FMI fiera milano international - birgit lohmann, editor-in-chief designboom.com - giovanna talocci, architect - luca trazzi, architect and designer, - ugo volli, sociologist --- 04 - design criteria the jury will award designs which are innovative in terms of their formal / technological aspects as well as their functional ones, linked to the different traditions of bathroom use. the most interesting designs will be presented to companies in the sector for possible production. 08 – entries entries will be accepted from individuals or teams (max. 2 works). the design documents are to consist of the following two elements: 1) works (works should be prepared in a high resolution - 300dpi -, 3000x3000 pixels in the event of a winning design: we will request your high-resolution images.) as final files are usually too big to send via e-mail, you are asked to forward a lower resolution copy : only gif and jpeg file formats will be accepted, 1Mb max. each work should be forwarded in a separate e-mail. your works should include your entry number and the title of work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please send them to wc_water_concept@designboom.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- we will send you an e-mail receipt of your work as soon as we receive it. 2) authorship and explanation of ideas a brief description of your work within 100 words as email text (english text only, explanation is expected to be concise) and a declaration of authorship. please add: the design is my own creation and has been developed in conformity with the competition’s guideline. (competition’s guideline: projects participating to the competition, must be original works. projects must be free from copyrights and any kind of obligation. the design shall not in any way infringe any third party’s right, including but not limited to copyright, logos, trademark, trade names, or other proprietary rights of publicity or privacy. only entries with a declaration of authorship are accepted!) --- 09 - copyright any moral and paternity right regarding the project sent in for application is designer’s property. however, ' WC water concept' salone dell’arredo bagno and designboom own the right of exhibition and publication of all the works sent in. --- 10 - questions? inquiries to wc_water_concept@designboom.com  |
